Release Info

Output is often textual in nature. $SHELL semantics facilitate simple IO stream connections for unlimited processing. Any text visualized can be parsed and processed. If textual data are organized by delimiters, use: 'awk' to extract fields-of-interest. If textual data are locked in lines of streams, use 'sed' to extract and/or manipulate desired streams. If both are needed, use $SHELL semantics to connect and process. Awk and Sed are essential tools. Learn and use them.
